Speech Therapy

Speech Language Pathologist/Therapist (SLP) evaluates, diagnoses and treats speech, language and communication problems in people of all ages to help them communicate better. SLP also evaluates and treats those who are having feeding difficulties.

A Speech Therapist treats:

  • Speech-Language delay (e.g. Autism, Hyperactive, Down Syndrome, etc.)
  • Unclear speech (e.g., fan—>pen)
  • Feeding disorder/oral musculature weaknesses
  • Voice disorder
  • Dyspraxia
  • Stuttering

Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapist works on assessment and intervention of motor-related concerns.

Occupational therapy focuses on improving function in the following areas:

  • Motor Planning Skills
  • Daily Living Skills (dressing, grooming, hygiene)
  • Sensory Integration
  • Strength and Endurance
  • Fine Motor Skills, e.g. hand-writing

Intervention Program/ Special Needs Educational Program

Early intervention is to provide children support and encouragement at the early stages of their growth.

It covers a variety of developmental milestones which includes fine motor, cognition, social play, self help skills (e.g.toilet-training) and pre-academic.
