Established in 2010, Pacific Speech Therapy and Learning Centre is the first 1-stop pediatric therapy centre in Northern Region of Malaysia. Down the road, we are now one of the leading 1-stop learning centre for children with special needs (below 18 years old) in Malaysia. We are a team of passionate and highly qualified professionals offering a wide range of quality services, from comprehensive assessments to therapiesunder one roof. We work in close collaboration withinour multi-disciplined team, as well as the family to address the individual needs of the children, thus improving the quality of life of the child and the family as a whole.
- Significant Milestone / Pacific journey
- 28th August 2010: Pacific Speech Therapy (HQ) was first founded by Ms. Oh Bee Lim, a qualified speech-language pathologist/therapist origin from Penang, Malaysia.
- 10th October 2011: Pacific Speech Therapy Butterworth, the first branch officially operates to serve the community in the mainland of Penang.
- 7th July 2012, Pacific Speech Therapy to Pacific Speech Therapy and Learning Centre, we strive toward the direction of becoming the 1-stop centre for children with special needs. We are the first in the Northern Region of Malaysia to provide individual Speech Therapy, Sensory Occupational Therapy, and Early Intervention Program under one roof since the year 2012.
- March 2016, we strive to become the leading 1-stop learning centre for children with special needs. We expand our services, by providing School Readiness Program for children with special needs.
- February 2017, We would like to support our children in the mainstream setting by expanding our services. We provide a Personal Learning Assistant, PLA based in International School to scaffold the child in a real-life environment.
- July 2017, we are the first in Malaysia to invite the co-founder of the TalkTools Program, Ms. Lori Overland (U.S.) to Penang, Malaysia for a certification workshop. First time in South East Asia, we hit the full house of 130 participants for the workshop.
- July 2018: Pacific Play House, Penang Island, the second branch and the supporting wing of Pacific Speech Therapy and Learning Centre officially operates to promote social communication skills in a child-friendly environment.
- September 2018, we are the first in Malaysia to invite the author and founder of Talkabout Social Skills, Alex Kelly (U.K.) to Penang, Malaysia for a certification workshop.
- September 2018: Pacific Speech Therapy and Learning Centre, Sungai Petani, Kedah the third branch officially operates to serve the community from the North of Malaysia.
- October 2019: The fourth branch of Pacific Speech Therapy and Learning Centre located at Simpang Ampat, Penang officially operates to serve the community from the South Seberang Perai.
- December 2021: The fifth branch of Pacific Speech Therapy and Learning Centre officially operates at Alor Setar, Kedah.
- January 2022: The sixth branch opening in Semenyih, Selangor
- March 2022: Pacific Play House, Raja Uda, officially operates to promote social communication skills in a child-friendly environment.
- April 2022: Official operation of Playhouse in Alor Setar, Kedah
- July 2022: Official operation of Pacific Vocational Bakery in Raja Uda.
- November 2022: Starling mall, PJ the seventh branch officially operates and provides therapy services to the population in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
