Outing with our social-play group students - Bloomkids Therapy Centre, Semenyih 萌籽治疗中心
It’s the end of the month!
We had our first successful outing with our social-play group students, under the care of our teacher and therapist teams.
Through this outing, the students surprised us with their capabilities in outdoor toilet training and the use of public toilets. They also showed progressive acceptance of the sensory-loaded outdoor environment and indoor playroom, including lights, sounds, and vestibular sensory information. We are very grateful that parents have gained more confidence in working together on their children’s outdoor toilet training.
Not to forget, thank you, KiddyFun, for accommodating the kids’ needs.
We look forward to exploring the outdoors to enhance their occupations as kids—communicating, playing and self-helping—in the coming month.

在老师和治疗师团队的合作下，我们与社交游戏小组的学生成功地进行了第一次外出活动。这次的外出，学生们在户外如厕训练和使用公共厕所的适应能力不禁让我们感到欣慰。他们还逐渐接受了感官丰富的户外环境和室内游戏室，包括灯光、声音和前庭感官等的信息。家长们在孩子的户外如厕训练方面也获得了更高的信心，为此我们十分感恩。
我们期待能持续探索户外活动，以增强孩子们的职能———沟通、玩耍和自助。

The Power of Early Intervention: How Speech Therapy Empowers Children with Learning Disabilities, by Speaker Ms Oh
Our esteemed founder, Ms. Oh, is deeply privileged to have received an invitation from the Faculty of Cognitive Sciences & Human Development at the University Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) to deliver a talk on “The Power of Early Intervention: How Speech Therapy Empowers Children with Learning Disabilities” on June 12, 2024.
This event serves as an invaluable platform for us to collectively raise awareness about the pivotal role of speech therapy in empowering children with learning disabilities.

Tantrum vs Intellectual Disability Training Workshop by Ms Lok Kun
Preschool teachers support children by addressing tantrums and intellectual disabilities through tailored approaches. They create calm environments, teach coping strategies, collaborate with professionals, and foster inclusive learning. Understanding of Autism by our founder, Ms Oh and Occupational Therapist, Ms Yeoh
In conjunction with the April Autism Awareness Month, Pacific has been invited by SMK Heng Ee (Penang) to give a talk on: Understanding of Autism.
Our founder, Ms Oh and Occupational Therapist, Ms Yeoh delivered the talk on 17/04/2024 to all the teachers and students from the morning session.
Together, we support individuals with special needs in our community.

On 27/5/2023, it was our great honour that our centre’s Occupational Therapists — Ms Tan and Ms Christina delivered a talk to a group of 30 consultant paediatricians from Klang valley and Seremban on the topic: “How Does Occupational Therapy Help Children With Special Needs?”
All doctors were happy and felt the talk was very informative and useful 
In addition, we were delighted to have Dr.Rajini – consultant developmental paediatrician who also present that day to share her clinical experiences to the audience.
