Social Skills Program UCLA PEERS® in Pacific Malaysia and Singapore!
Looking for an evidence-based social skills group for your kids?
Our new PEERS®️ program, developed by Dr Elizabeth Laugerson, using the PEERS®️ for Adolescent curriculum developed by the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior at the University of California, Los Angeles will take place every Friday at 330 pm-430 pm for 16 weeks, starts on 10th January 2025, at Pacific Speech Therapy and Learning Centre HQ in Malaysia and Singapore, led by certified providers.
This program focuses on who are interested in making and keeping friends and/or handling conflict and rejection through didactic lessons and role-play demonstrations, and practice these skills during group socialization activities.

工作坊简介：
在玩乐中学习的方式不仅能提高孩子的兴趣，还能有效增强他们的识字能力。在这个3小时的初级工作坊中，我们将教导家长如何通过游戏帮助有阅读障碍的孩子提升识字能力。通过简单、有趣的游戏，家长可以在家中支持孩子的识字发展，帮助他们建立自信心并提升学习兴趣。
讲师简介：
陈建晖，毕业于马来西亚理科大学管理系，后来投入教育领域，曾在孤儿院担任补习老师，帮助学习进展缓慢的孩子。2005年，他获得澳洲 Macquarie 大学特殊教育硕士学位，并于槟州儿童特殊协会（BOLD）工作，设计各类语言教材并训练教学团队。
自2007年起，他为小学、幼儿园及学习中心主讲阅读障碍有关的讲座，并在2020年、2021年及2022年为多家机构主讲线上讲座，都与“读写障碍儿童”有关。自2015年，他专注于“华文补救教学”，运用“多元感官策略”和“思维方法”帮助孩子识字、理解及写作。
他已出版多本教材，包括《看图学部首》、《健儿识字乐园》、《健儿学部首》、《排图卡 说故事》及《阅读同乐园》。
